Species Identification

DNA technology is the most accurate method for species identification and widely applied in almost all kinds of plants and animals. Species identification is based on the PCR amplification and sequencing of the conserved sequence such as COI in animal mtDNA and rbcL/matK in plant cpDNA. After sequencing, the results are mapped with the known sequences in the public database to identify the genera or species of unknown species. Therefore, DNA species identification has a wide application prospect in the fields of life science, forensic medicine, epidemiology, food quality control and other social and economic fields.

Service Content

1. Standard service: species identification

2. Advanced services: building phylogenetic tree, sequence upload, etc

Service Description

1. Only genomic DNA, fresh animal and plant tissues samples are accepted.

2. The concentration of genomic DNA ≥ 20 ng / μ L, total volume ≥ 20 μ L.

3. Samples delivery is suggested at low temperature.

4. If there are background peaks or overlapping peaks in the sequencing results due to the impurity of samples, the company will charge the full amount of experimental cost.

5. Delivery content (standard service).

6. Experimental report (including PCR product photos, species identification reference results, etc.), sequencing color waveform, sequence base map.
