CircRNA Sequencing

FAQ

  •  Why do researchers pay more attentions to circRNA sequencing researches?

    1) To find the differences of samples from a circRNA angle

    2) Search for molecular markers that affect the occurrence of diseases.

    3) To explore the unknown function of circRNA.

    4) To find out the mechanism of impacting microRNA expression.

  • How much data does circRNA sequencing require?

10G clean data / sample is recommended.

  • What are the necessary conditions for circRNA sequencing?

    1. Reference genome and circRNA annotation information are required.

    2. There is a corresponding ribosome removal kit

  • What are the characteristics of circRNA?

    1. Most of them exist in cytoplasm, and the sequences are highly conserved.

    2. In general cells or tissues, the half-life of circRNA is relatively stable, their half-life is 48h, and the half-life of other RNA (linear) is about 10h. The cricRNA in serum is unstable, and the half-life is less than 15s.

    3. The circRNA expressed in different cells may be different.

    4. The same gene may produce both linear mRNA and circRNA.

    5. Exonic cricRNA is estimated to be about 1% of polyA mRNA and 0.8% of all non-ribosomal RNA.

    6. Most of circRNA are ncRNA.
